"I still now 15 years down the line, get this big thrill when the patient comes in for the postoperative review and I look at their hair. And they probably see a look of surprise on my face, even after all this time. It's not just the surgery, it's the art of it. It's this piece that you created. And you combine that with a change in personality of the patients, they're more outgoing, they have a big smile on their face and they're just so thrilled to see you. And I think that's the biggest thing, you know obviously being in the kind of practice I'm in it gives me other advantages, I'm my own boss, I work in a field where the surgery is considered minor surgery, there's no significant complications. But still, seeing that face on the patient when they come in and that you've changed their life literally, that's the biggest thing."
