Artifical hair fibers are made of nylon or a similar material and are usually inserted into a patient's scalp with a "hook" type of achoring system. The fibers usually cause chronic inflammation, reocurring infection and eventual scar tissue formation. They always, eventually, need to be removed.
Dr. Wong removed the fibers and after a period of healing transplanted 2000 grafts to the crown. The result shown is two years post-op.
