"It was surprising to me when I saw hair transplantation being performed. People were really looking past the fact that hair grew in these naturally occurring groups. People treated the donor strip as this kind of massive hair. And it seems so obvious now, but 10 or 11 years ago, nobody was considering to use these tiny little groups of naturally occurring hair. And we started doing the procedure this way and it was obviously much better. The grafts were very small, they had a much higher hair content and they were able, much more importantly be able to fit into very small recipient sites. And that's a very significant thing because when the sites are small, you can use thousands of them without injuring the scalp. That really moved the hair transplantation from these multiple small procedures to these large sessions where someone's hair restoration can be finished in one or two sessions..."
