"I did my dermatology residency at Albert Einstein and when I was chief resident, I did a bunch of hair transplants. I had some of the patients after I graduated, come to my place because we hadn't seen some of the results. I was actually stunned when I saw the results, we were using the old hair plugs and this was in the 80s. I swore I would never do another hair transplant. Then I joined this staff in Columbia and for years I really saw a lot of people getting really bad results with hair transplants. Then in 1994, I went to the Toronto hair meeting and I heard that things had started to change. Bill Rassman was doing these large sessions with micro-grafts and I was really shocked because I thought the results were so good.
